JPSC ACF & FRO 2026 – Overview
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) is recruiting for two forest posts: Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) under Advertisement No. 03/2024 and Forest Range Officer (FRO) under Advertisement No. 04/2024. As per the notifications, there are 248 posts in total — 78 for ACF and 170 for FRO.
The selection is done in stages: a Preliminary Exam, a Main (written) exam, a Physical Standard Test, an Interview and a Medical check. A candidate applies once and moves up stage by stage.

What Happens After the Mains Result
Candidates who have cleared the ACF Mains written exam are now called for the Physical Standard Test (PST). As per the official notice, the physical test is fixed for 28 and 29 July 2026. The exact venue, reporting time and other details will be announced by JPSC later. This physical test follows Rule 14 of the Jharkhand Forest Service Rules 2024 and clause 6(b) of the advertisement.

Eligibility (Age and Qualification)
Educational qualification: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant science subject (such as Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Mathematics, Statistics, Forestry, Geology or Environmental Science), or a degree in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, from a recognised university.
