ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 - Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) at the postgraduate level and the All India Competitive Examination (AICE) for Junior Research Fellowship / Senior Research Fellowship (JRF/SRF) at the PhD level. These exams open the door to Master's and doctoral seats in agriculture and allied science courses across ICAR institutes and agricultural universities in India, along with ICAR scholarships.

The admit card for the 2026 exam was released on 01 July 2026. The exam itself was held on 04 July 2026 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The AIEEA (PG) paper was held in the morning shift and the AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) paper in the afternoon shift.

Exam Pattern

The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The paper duration is 120 minutes (2 hours). The medium of the exam is English. After the exam, NTA will release a provisional answer key, allow candidates to raise objections, and then publish the final answer key and result.
