The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released the first round seat allotment result for the Industrial Training Institute Competitive Admission Test (ITICAT) 2026. Candidates who took the entrance exam held on 17 May 2026 and filled their choices during online counselling can now check the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and trade allotted to them in round one. The allotment was published on 08 July 2026.

Admission is offered against a total of 33,108 seats in government ITIs across Bihar. A seat is allotted on the basis of your ITICAT rank, your category and the choices (ITI plus trade) you locked during choice filling.

2. Open the "1st Round Seat Allotment Result" PDF to see the full allotment list.
3. You can also open the Open Merit Card or District Merit Card page and enter your details to view your rank card.
4. Check the Opening / Closing Rank (Round 1) list to see the last rank allotted in each ITI, trade and category.
5. Match the allotted ITI and trade against your locked choices and note your reporting instructions.

What to Do After the First Round Allotment

If you have been allotted a seat, read the official counselling guidelines carefully. In rank-based counselling, an allotted candidate normally downloads the allotment letter, reports to the allotted ITI within the given window and completes document verification and admission. Options such as "freeze", "float" or "slide" (to stay in the queue for a better choice in the next round) are decided as per the counselling guidelines. If no seat was allotted to you in round one, you usually remain eligible for the later rounds and any spot / mop-up rounds, subject to the schedule announced by BCECEB.

Documents Usually Required at Reporting

Carry both the original documents and self-attested photocopies. The exact list is given in the official counselling guidelines; a candidate usually needs:

• ITICAT 2026 rank card and admit card
• Class 10 (Matric) marksheet and passing certificate
• Date-of-birth proof (the Class 10 certificate is generally accepted)
• Category / caste certificate (for EBC, OBC, SC, ST), if applicable

Bihar ITICAT 2026 Eligibility Recap

To appear in ITICAT, a candidate must have passed or be appearing in the Class 10 (High School) examination from any recognised board. The minimum age is 14 years as on 01 August 2026, and 17 years for the MMT / MT group of trades as specified in the notification. There is no upper age limit. Reservation is applied as per Bihar government rules.
