NVS JNVST Class 6 Admission 2027 - Overview
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) runs the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) - free, residential, co-educational schools set up by the Government of India, mainly for talented rural children. Admission to Class 6 is done only through a common entrance test called the JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test). For the 2027-28 session, the online application is now open and any eligible child can be registered by their parent or guardian.
There are 665 Navodaya schools across the country. A child who clears the JNVST gets free education, along with free boarding and lodging (staying and food), free textbooks, uniform and other facilities. So this is one of the best chances for a bright student to study in a good residential school at no cost.
