BSNL Senior Executive Trainee (SET) Admit Card 2026 - Overview

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the admit card for the Senior Executive Trainee (SET) recruitment 2026. This exam fills 120 posts across two streams - Telecom and Finance. Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates are placed in the IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) Pay Scale E3. The pay band runs from Rs 24,900 to Rs 50,500 per month, plus dearness allowance and other perks as per BSNL rules. Refer to the official notice for the full pay and allowance breakdown.

How to Download BSNL SET Admit Card 2026

Follow these simple steps to get your hall ticket:

1. Click the "Download Admit Card (Login)" link given above on this page.
2. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (in the YYYYMMDD format).
3. Type your password and answer the small security question shown on the screen.
4. Your admit card will open on the screen. Check every detail - name, photo, exam date, time and centre.
5. Download it and take at least two clear printouts.

Documents to Carry to the Exam Centre

Reach the centre well before the reporting time. Carry these items:

• A printed copy of your BSNL SET admit card.
• One valid original photo ID - Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving Licence.
• A recent passport-size photograph (same as the one on your form).
• Any other document mentioned on your admit card.

Exam Pattern

The BSNL SET exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT). It has 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks and runs for 180 minutes (3 hours). There is negative marking - 0.25 marks are cut for each wrong answer. The paper has two parts.

Selection Process

The selection has two stages. First, all candidates sit for the Computer Based Test (CBT) on 5 July 2026. Candidates who clear the CBT are then called for Document Verification, where BSNL checks the original certificates - degree, age proof, category proof and other papers. The final merit list is made on the basis of CBT marks and successful document verification, as per BSNL recruitment rules.

Eligibility (as per the official notice)

Educational Qualification: For the Telecom stream, you need a BE or B.Tech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, with at least 60% marks. For the Finance stream, you need to be a qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) or CMA (Cost and Management Accountant).

Age Limit: The age was counted as on 7 March 2026. The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 30 years for General, EWS and OBC-Creamy Layer candidates. Age relaxation is given as per government rules - up to 33 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and up to 35 years for SC/ST candidates.
