Eligibility
Age Limit: Candidates had to be between 18 and 36 years of age as on 01 July 2025. Age relaxation was given to reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: Applicants needed to have passed Class 10 (High School) from a recognised school, OR hold an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate from an institute recognised by the NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training), OR hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
Selection Process
The recruitment is decided through the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT-1) โ a single-stage objective exam of 100 marks.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) โ a qualifying physical test.
- Document Verification (DV) โ checking of all original certificates.
- Medical Examination โ a fitness check as per Railway medical standards.
The CBT-1 paper carried 100 questions for 100 marks: General Science (25), Mathematics (25), General Intelligence and Reasoning (30), and General Awareness and Current Affairs (20). One-third of a mark was deducted for every wrong answer.
