Overview

State Bank of India (SBI) is the country's largest public-sector bank. Every year it recruits Probationary Officers (PO) — entry-level managerial staff who, after training, work as branch officers across India. For the SBI PO recruitment 2026, SBI is filling 1,500 posts through a nationwide online examination. The online application window opened on 18 June 2026 and closes on 8 July 2026. This is an all-India recruitment, so candidates from every state can apply for the same set of posts.

The recruitment is conducted under advertisement number CRPD/PO/2026-27/09. Selection is done in stages — a preliminary examination, a main examination, and finally a group exercise and interview. Only the facts published in the official SBI notification are used on this page; always cross-check the official notice before applying.
