SSC Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO 2025 Result — Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Head Constable Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO) and Tele-Printer Operator (TPO) examination for Delhi Police. This recruitment is for 552 posts. The Computer Based Examination (CBE) was held from 15 to 22 January 2026.

SSC declared the main result on 29 May 2026. Later, on 25 June 2026, SSC added 32 more candidates to the shortlist. These extra candidates had claimed the "Other Backward Class (OBC) from the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi" category, and SSC accepted the claim after review. All shortlisted candidates now move to the next stage — the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT), Document Verification (DV) and Trade Test.

Eligibility (Age and Qualification)

Age was counted as on 1 July 2025. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 27 years. Candidates from reserved groups get age relaxation as per SSC rules.

For education, a candidate needs to have passed 10+2 (Class 12) with Science and Mathematics from a recognised board. A candidate holding a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in "Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System" is also eligible. Every candidate also had to pass an English typing test of 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.

Physical Standards

Some relaxation in height and chest is allowed for certain categories, as per the official rules.

Selection Process

The selection is done in the following stages:

1. Computer Based Examination (CBE) — the online written test.
2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) — running, height, chest and other physical checks.
3. Document Verification (DV) — checking of original certificates.
4. Trade Test / Skill Test — the typing and trade check.

This result is the shortlist from the CBE stage. Only the shortlisted candidates go forward to the PE&MT, DV and Trade Test.
