MPPSC State Service Mains 2025 - Overview
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) is the state body that recruits officers for the Madhya Pradesh government. The State Service Exam (SSE), also called the Rajya Seva exam, is held in three steps: a Preliminary test, a Mains (written) exam, and an Interview. The Preliminary result of the 2025 cycle is out, and MPPSC has now opened the Mains application form. Only those candidates who passed the 2025 Prelims are allowed to fill this form. In total, 158 posts will be filled through this exam.
Who Can Apply (Eligibility)
To fill the Mains form, you must first have qualified the MPPSC State Service Preliminary Exam 2025. On top of that, the basic eligibility set in the original notice must be met:
- Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised university. Final-year students awaiting results may check the official rules for their case.
- Age: Between 21 and 40 years as on 1 January 2025. For uniformed posts, such as Deputy Superintendent of Police, the upper age limit is lower (33 years). Age relaxation is given to reserved categories as per Madhya Pradesh government rules.

Application Fee (Payment Mode)
The fee depends on your category. General and other-state candidates pay a higher fee, while reserved candidates of Madhya Pradesh pay less. A small portal charge is added on top for everyone. The Mains form is open from 25 June 2026 and closes on 15 July 2026. A correction window is given from 30 June to 17 July 2026 to fix small mistakes in the form. Exam Pattern
The MPPSC Mains is a written, descriptive-type exam held over several days. It is followed by an Interview (Personality Test) for candidates who clear the Mains.
