This page explains who can apply, the age rule, the fee, the salary, and the full selection process in simple words. Read it fully before you fill the form. For the final word, always cross-check the official notification, which you can download from the links above.

Vacancy Details

The Indian Air Force does not fix a set number of Agniveer Vayu posts in this notice. The official advertisement states that vacancies and the intake of female candidates will be decided "as per service requirement". So there is no official vacancy count for Intake 02/2027 yet. Do not trust any fixed number quoted on unofficial websites. The Air Force fills seats state-wise from a merit list after all stages of testing.

Eligibility - Who Can Apply

Nationality and marital status: Only unmarried Indian citizens (both male and female) can apply. Agniveers must not marry during the four-year service.

Educational qualification: You must meet one of the following:

  • Science side: Passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English, with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

  • Vocational route: Passed a 2-year Vocational Course from a recognised board, with 50% aggregate and 50% in English.

Note: The exact percentage before the decimal point is taken as it is. For example, 49.99% is treated as 49%, not rounded up to 50%.
