UP DGMHUP ANM Training 2026 - Overview
The Office of the Director General (Training), Medical Health & Family Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has invited online applications from female candidates for the 2-year ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) training course for the year 2026. ANM is a nursing course that trains women to work as village-level health workers in Sub-Centres and Primary Health Centres. This is a training admission, not a paid job, so no salary or pay scale is offered during the course.
Applications are accepted online only, from 01 July 2026 up to 31 July 2026, on the departmental portal. There is no written entrance exam - candidates are selected purely on merit. Seat Distribution and Reservation
The 1800 seats are shared between two groups of female candidates, as stated in the official notice:

Note: if the 20% ASHA seats are not filled by eligible ASHA workers, the remaining seats are given to other eligible female candidates. Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and other categories is applied as per Uttar Pradesh Government orders. Candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh do not get the benefit of reservation. Here NHM means the National Health Mission and ASHA means Accredited Social Health Activist.
Eligibility - Age and Qualification
Age Limit (as on 31 December 2025): Minimum 17 years and maximum 35 years. Age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates is given as per Uttar Pradesh Government orders.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a female who has passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination from the Uttar Pradesh Board or an equivalent recognised board. The minimum marks needed are:

ASHA Karyakatri / ASHA Sangini candidates must meet the same minimum qualification above and also submit a certificate of 5 years of satisfactory work and experience, signed by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned district. Here EWS means Economically Weaker Section.
Selection Process
There is no written entrance test. A merit list is prepared on the basis of the average of the percentage marks you scored in your High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations. This is done as per the Uttar Pradesh Sahayak Nurses and Midwife (ANM) Prashikshan Viniyaman Anudesh 2022, dated 28 April 2022. Candidates with higher average marks get priority in seat allotment. Application Fee
The application fee is fixed and must be paid online at the time of applying (through UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking). General category candidates pay Rs. 200, while SC, ST and OBC candidates pay Rs. 100. The exact category-wise fee is shown in the fee table above.

- Submit the form and take a printout of the final application for your record.
