RSSB CET 12th (Senior Secondary) Level 2026 - Overview

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB), earlier known as RSMSSB, has released the notification for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) at the 12th (Senior Secondary) Level under Advertisement No. 08/2026. The online application window is open from 24 June 2026, and the last date to apply is 23 July 2026.

CET is a single, common qualifying exam. Instead of a separate first-stage exam for every Class-12-level job, RSSB holds one CET. If you pass it, your CET score is used when RSSB later invites applications for the actual posts. This saves you time, effort and repeated exam fees.

What is a Qualifying Test (Why No Fixed Vacancy)?

CET 12th Level does not have one fixed number of vacancies. It is a screening test that decides who is eligible to compete for many Class-12-level Group C posts in Rajasthan. The department fills those posts later, each with its own vacancy notice. So treat CET as your entry pass, not as a single-post recruitment.

Posts that usually take candidates through the 12th-level CET include roles such as Clerk Grade-II / Junior Assistant, Constable, Jail Prahari (Warder), Forest Guard, and similar Group C positions. The exact posts and their vacancies are announced separately by RSSB after the CET result.

Eligibility (Age and Qualification)

Educational Qualification

You must have passed Class 12 (Senior Secondary) from a recognised board. Candidates who are in the final year of Class 12 may also apply, subject to the rules in the official notice.

Age Limit

Your age should be between 18 and 40 years as on 1 January 2027. Candidates of reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, women, PwD, etc.) get age relaxation as per Rajasthan government rules. Check the official notification for your exact upper age limit after relaxation.

Exam Pattern (In Short)

The CET 12th Level exam is an offline, OMR-based objective paper with multiple-choice questions. As per the current plan, it is scheduled for 23 to 25 October 2026. To be counted as passed, you generally need at least 40% marks (35% for SC and ST candidates). For the exact number of questions, total marks, exam duration and the marking scheme, please read the official notification, as the board can update these details.

Selection Process

Step one is this CET. Qualifying in CET makes you eligible to apply when RSSB opens the actual Class-12-level posts. Step two is the recruitment for each specific post, where your CET score and the rules of that post decide your final selection. Some posts may also have a physical test or a document check, as stated in that post's own notice.

How to Apply for RSSB CET 12th Level 2026

The form is filled online through the SSO Rajasthan portal. Follow these steps:

1. Create your SSO ID on the SSO Rajasthan portal, or log in if you already have one. Use the Apply Online link in the Important Links table above.
2. Open the RSSB Recruitment Portal from your SSO dashboard.
3. Select the CET (Senior Secondary Level) 2026 form and fill in your details carefully.
4. Upload your recent photo and signature in the required format.
5. Pay the application fee online using net banking, a card, UPI or a wallet.
6. Submit the form and save a printout of the final confirmation for your records.

Tip: apply a few days before the last date. On 23 July the server can be slow due to heavy traffic.

Application Fee (Payment Mode)

The fee is paid online at the time of applying. The fee amount depends on your category and state, and the exact figures are shown in the Application Fee box above on this page. There is no offline or challan payment for this form.
