BPSSC Havildar Clerk (Home Guard) Result 2026 - Overview
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the written examination result for the post of Havildar Clerk, also called Adhinayak Lipik, under Advertisement No. 02/2026. This is a special recruitment. It is open only to people who are already serving as Home Guards in the Bihar Home Guard force (Grih Rakshak). Open-market candidates and freshers could not apply for this drive.
The written exam was held on 20 May 2026. Out of 1,006 candidates who were called, 751 sat for the exam and 255 stayed absent. After scrutiny, the answer sheets of 696 candidates were evaluated. Based on this written exam, BPSSC has now picked candidates for the next stage - the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). A total of 218 candidates have qualified for the PET, which includes 196 male and 22 female candidates.

Written Exam Cut-Off Marks (Advt No. 02/2026)

From the candidates who cleared this bar, BPSSC selected up to five times the number of vacancies in each category for the PET, following merit and reservation rules. Selection Process - What Happens Next
Selection for the Havildar Clerk post has two main stages:

The final merit list for appointment will be based only on the total marks of the three PET events - running, high jump and shot put. The written exam is used only to shortlist candidates for the PET. There is no relaxation in the minimum physical standards. Candidates who qualify the PET will then go through document verification before final appointment.

This recruitment was open only to serving Bihar Home Guards (Grih Rakshak). The age limit was 24 to 50 years for all categories, counted as on 1 August 2025. The written exam was set at the Matric (Class 10) standard. As it is a departmental quota drive, only existing Home Guards meeting the service condition could apply.
